Some big rocks is a short, silent video made during a short visit to Orkney. Featuring impromptu playful performances by two adult siblings, the video takes a tour of the neolithic sites of The Stones of Stenness and The Ring of Brodgar.
Narrated via subtitles, the artist discusses the making of the video, creative decisions in its editing, and the nature of visiting such sites and telling yourself you’re not a tourist. The sites are free to visit and can be accessed up-close, which feels like a right but is more like a privilege.
