Passing Place

Passing Place is a video made of from 128 photographs of 64 passing places between home and town. Signage of single-track roads in rural areas of the United Kingdom, passing places indicate areas where two vehicles can pass one another safely on narrow roads. Maybe they do other things too. Shot on expired 35mm film found under my parents’ bed, one side then the other appears and disappears as we get closer to somewhere. The film features a song inspired by an uncredited video on youtube from the 1970s.
