Hello blog-readers, how’s it going?
I’ve just realised I totally forgot to let you know about a little Kickstarter I’m running to raise some money to print a few copies of a zine I’ve designed. It’s about reflections, and light, and photographs, and sunsets. The important link about it is THIS ONE! Where you can back the kickstarter (There’s 10 days left to go!) and pre-order a very limited edition zine of nice/weird images, but you can also read about the video side of the project here. There’s a trailer for the video, but if you wanna watch the full thing, you can see it through the Kickstarter campaign or on my Patreon. If you can’t afford to pay, but wanna see, just email me and ask nicely – I’ll get back to you eventually.
I’ve been hanging around in Hawick recently – we’ve (touch wood) managed to not get flooded so far this storm-season (thanks Big Oil for sponsoring this round), and I’ve been wandering by the river a bit, thinking more about public art (maybe a proper blog about that soon), and how nice the flood wall artwork by Andrew Mackenzie looks on a frosty morning. I only dream of being able to afford Andrew’s work, so it’s very nice to be able to get it for free on a wander around the town, and! it’s a public artwork in Hawick that’s not entirely about glorifying men, which I am glad of. Here’s a nice photo if you’ve not been stalking me on Instagram:

I also got to witness (unplanned) the spectacle of a great big turbine blade being driven through Hawick. Am glad they stuck it in the air or it would have taken out all the lampposts. Here’s a (less twinkly) photo, it looks less impressive than it was:
